Prof. Kan-Sen Chou

Prof. Kan-Sen Chou is a senior researcher at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan.

He teaches in the Department of Chemical Engineering and also serves as associate dean of the College of Engineering. He is also in charge of an interdisciplinary educational program in opto-electronic engineering of NTHU. The focus of his research is on chemical methods to synthesize various nanosized colloids, including metallic and oxides as well as their applications. One recent example is to use a novel technique to obtain stable, nanosized, and concentrated nanosized Ag colloids in large quantities. This silver “ink” can then be successfully utilized in the inkjet printing of conducting circuits to make up devices.
