News Item: Aluminium Smelting Waste - New Recycling Technique
A new technology for recycling spent pot linings from aluminium smelters has been developed by Portland Aluminium, Alcoa, Ausmelt and CSIRO. The technology converts the waste product into aluminium fluoride and a synthetic sand, both of which can be re-used. Posted November 16 2001
