A New Production Method of Submicron Alumina Powders
This paper describes a method for producing submicron high-purity alumina. In this method amorphous basic aluminum sulfate (BAS) was prepared by homogeneous precipitation of aluminum bisulfite solution containing chitosan. This cationic polymeric compound was used as an electrosteric dispersant.

Alumina (Aluminium Oxide) - The Different Types of Commercially Available Grades
Alumina is a vesatile ceramic material with many practical uses. There are many different commercial grades available such as smelter grade, calcined, low soda, reactive, tabular, fused and high purity aluminas. This article describes them all and provides an insight to what they are all used for.

Effects of Organic Additives on Physical And Chemical Characteristics of Basic Aluminum Sulfate
In this work, the effects of cationic, anionic and neutral organic additives on the physical and chemical characteristics of BAS obtained by homogeneous precipitation were investigated. DEA and chitosan were used as cationic additives, whereas DLS was selected as anionic additive.

Preparation of Sodium Aluminate From Basic Aluminium Sulfate
A method for preparing sodium aluminate from basic aluminum sulfate (BAS) is presented. By this method, crystalline sodium aluminate could be obtained under mild conditions by heating sodium dawsonite at 900°C for 30 minutes.

Synthesis of Electro Conductive Nanosized ZnO Powders
Electro conductive nanosized ZnO powder were synthesized from zinc sulfate salt and aluminum sulfate salts. The crystallization process, morphologies, and thermal decomposition were studied as a function of calcination temperatures and raw material compositions.
