| We have great pleasure in announcing the launch of what has become a prestigious event, the EPMA ‘Innovations in Powder Metallurgy’ Awards for 2003. Components - covering all types of powder metallurgy products, e.g. structural parts, bearings, wear resistant and corrosion resistant parts, powder metallurgy semi-products, hardmetals, metal injection moulded parts, magnets etc. 2. Materials - powders evaluated on the basis of their material properties 3. Production Equipment - presses, furnaces, tooling etc. 4. International Powder Metallurgy Award (from all categories) - for companies operating outside of Europe Entries will be judged by a multinational panel of experts who evaluate each submission in terms of: improved quality, likely cost savings, product or material novelty, and the extent to which the development promotes the discipline and encourages increased use of PM materials and technology. Short videos of the prize winners will be shown at the Awards Luncheon and extensive press coverage will be given to the winners. Entry is free and is open to all EPMA members.
