| PPG Industries have developed a new generation of epoxyamine Bairocade gas barrier coatings for polyethylene teraphthalate (PET) containers. To maintain their freshness, oxygen-sensitive drinks packed in PET containers need greater gas barrier protection when the ratio of bottle surface area to content, or liquid volume, increases. Bairocade coatings provide that protection, and can enhance product shelf life by up to 300% compared to untreated PET bottles. |
