Cilas 1190 Laser Particle Size Analyzer

Email / Share

The CILAS 1190 laser particle size analyzer has been designed for performance and reliability. You will be very pleased with your investment. Each component has been selected not only for its reliability and robustness, but also for its ease of replacement. It is the preferred system for the construction materials market, which produces cements and derived products. It is also used extensively in the chemical industry.

No need to realign

There is no need to readjust the system, because all optical components are rigidly aligned and mounted on a short cast iron bench ensuring the original factory performance.

An integrated dispersion system

Its efficient and powerful dispersion system avoids the use of external accessories.

Exceptionnal reliability

Movable mechanical parts and exposed optical components have been deliberately eliminated. Its one-piece design and its robustness provide for repeatable and operator-independent results. The CILAS 920 can be used for intensive measurements in aggressive industrial environments.

Liquid to dry mode change in 1 second

The transition from liquid to dry mode is accomplished in the software without any hardware changes by the operator.

The CILAS 1190 is fully compliant with ISO 13 320 and USP (429). Our Size ExpertTM software is also 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.

Particle Size and Shape Analysis

With its unique design, the CILAS expert shape system can use the same sample to determine both particle size (via laser diffraction) and shape parameters (via optical microscope technology) from 1 to 300 µm (other magnifying factors are available), with enhanced contrast, clarity and luminosity. This generates more accurate information that is of potential interest in research and development as well as production control in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, biology, and building materials.
