It is feasible to use these versatile, inexpensive thermocouples for a wide range of surface temperature measurements that include temperature surveys of electrical components, environmental testing and oven wall temperatures.
The foil sensor includes a thermocouple sensor that is rolled flat before being placed between two paper thin glass reinforced high-temperature polyimide laminates. These both electrically insulate and support the thermocouple and provide a flat surface for resining or cementing the sensor.
They are designed for easy installation by either using the adhesive weld compound provided by TC Limited or by using an epoxy resin. Users must ensure that the resin used by the thermocouple must be suitable for the operating temperature of the particular application.
The product features of the thermocouple are:
Thermocouple types K, T, J and N, Patch size is 20 x 10 x 0.13 mm thick
Leads: 2 m, 0.2 mm diameter solid fibre glass insulated laid flat pair leads
Insulated junction and an operating range from -30°C to +220°C (up to 300°C short term).
