Cutting through Ice with Synthetic Diamond from Element Six

In this novel demonstration, Adrian Wilson, Head of Technologies at Element Six, shows how synthetic diamond can be used to cut through ice. This aptly demonstrates the high thermal conductivity of synthetic diamond at room temperature, which gives it an advantage over traditional materials used in optical, sensing and semiconductor applications.
