Confocal Scanning and Optical Particle Manipulation with Optical Tweezers

This video shows the confocal scanning combined with optical particle manipulation and the multiple degrees of freedom offered by JPK Instruments' NanoTracker™ system. A fluorescent bead is optically trapped and moved in 3D through a sample of fluorescently labeled cells. The three-axis piezo scanner is used to move the cell sample in x, y, and z directions. The 3D trap steering system of JPK's NanoTracker™ is used to move the bead relative to the camera image.
