Innovative X-Ray Diffraction Technologies from inXitu

This short video details how inXitu have used funding from NASA and other government bodies to develop innovative x-ray diffraction (XRD) technologies for the analysis of materials both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial.

They have developed technology that is being used on the NASA 2009 Mars science lab mission. A by-product of this is a portable XRD instrument called "Terra" that can be taken on site to perform materials analysis.

Other technologies that they are working on are a portable NDT examination tool for examining artworks in situ, a baggage screening system and an air purification technology using carbon nanotubes for cathodes for future space missions.
