This video describes the functioning of Stuart Undergraduate Hotplate Stirrer with BioCote® Antimicrobial protection. The instrument has a compact profile with side storage to minimize space and saves valuable bench space with compact footprint. It is designed with recess for retort stand to save time when numerous units need to be set up. The units also feature an integral fitting for retort stand. The undergrad hotplate stirrer also comes with a choice of surfaces, such as ceramic, aluminium/silicon or stainless steel, for every application. The instrument has powerful magnets that provide continuous stirring of up to 2000 rpm. An easy to read LED display shows hotplate surface temperature. Hot warning light glows once hotplate surface reaches 50 °C. This warning light remains operational even when unplugged. The undergraduate hotplate stirrers are compatible with SCT1 temperature controller and can provide temperature control up to a maximum of 200 °C.
