The Hiden QGA Quantitative Gas Analyser

Peter Hatton from Hiden Analytical talks about the applications of the Hiden QGA, a compact bench-top quantitative gas analyzer designed for real-time, multiple gases, and vapor analysis with a wide dynamic range.

The QGA system is highly sensitive, with a mass range of 200 AMU, and a detection range from 100% down to 100 parts per billion.

The flexible, 2-meter capillary inlet can operate up to 200°C, with a response time to changes in gas concentrations of just 300 milliseconds, and a sampling rate of up to 500 measurements per second.

The QGA’s mass spectrometer uses a soft electron impact ionization source, for minimized fragmentation and simpler data interpretation.

The QGA is ideal for applications such as fuel cell studies, catalysis and reaction kinetics, fermentation analysis, and environmental gas analysis.
