Thwing Albert’s Geotextile Puncture Fixture

This video demonstrates a geotextile puncture fixture available from Thwing-Albert. The fixture meets the standard test method, ASTM D6241. Using a 50nm probe, the static puncture strength of geotextiles and geotextile-related products can be monitored.

The test specimen is procured by using mechanical clamping device. A circular opening in the top plate allows easy penetration of the probe into the sample.
