Admet’s ASTM D1876 T-Peel Adhesive Peel Test

This video demonstrates the functioning of Admet’s ASTM D1876 T-Peel adhesive peel test. In this test, the relative peel resistance of adhesive bonds between flexible adhesives is determined through a T-type specimen with the help of a tension testing machine.

The test grips of the testing machine hold the specimen’s bent and unbonded ends while applying a load using a constant head speed. Load versus head movement or load versus distance peeled is automatically recorded. After the initial peak, the bond line’s peel resistance for a specific length can be measured.
