Zwick’s Amsler Vibrophore

This video shows Zwick Roell’s Amsler Vibrophone for fatigue strength determination in terms of fatigue limit and fatigue life. Fatigue tests are performed according to DIN 50100 (Wöhler curve) under tensile, compression, pulsating and fatigue loads.

Fracture mechanics tests on CT (compact tension) and SEB (single edge bend) specimens and pre-cracking specimens, fatigue and durability tests on screws and springs are some applications of the vibrophore. Another typical application is in the production and quality control of components which are exposed to sinusoidal loading during their service life.
