Zwick Roell’s Linear Puncture Testing (LPET)

This video shows Zwick Roell’s LPET (linear puncture testing). According to DIN 53142-2 standard, the LPET is performed on a corrugated card board. The card board is loaded in all directions due to the pyramid formed penetrator during the penetration test.

The pyramid is pressed through the specimen evenly during the linear motion penetration test. The testing machine drives and controls the pyramid. Electronics helps acquire the force-path curve and the result produced by this LPET is the energy absorbed during penetration.

Run Time – 0:53min
