The Cilas 1190LD Particle Size and Shape Analyzer
John Kuehl form Cilas gives us a run down on their 1190 particle characterization system. The 1190 incorporates a laser diffraction particle size analyzer and a particle shape classifier.
The particle size analyzer is the only one on the market to use a 3 laser system that enables it to simultaneously measure particles in the range 40nm up to 2.5mm without changing any optics. The system also has the ability to seamlessly change form liquid dispersions to dry powder vibratory feeder with the click of a mouse using their WYSWYG software interface.
The particle shape classifier operates in a closed circuit configuration with the particle size analyzer so that you can be sure you are looking at exactly the same sample. The particle shape classifier also allows the user to check the level of agglomeration of their sample.
