Ipsen, Inc. announced today that the company recently shipped a new Titan Vacuum Furnace to Japan. The furnace features a 1.9-bar nitrogen or argon internal quench system, diffusion pump, an energy efficient graphite hot zone with shaped graphite heating elements capable of processing temperatures up to 2,400 ºF (1,315ºC), and a Vacu-Prof interactive control system. The unit has an 18" (457 mm) wide x 18" (457 mm) high x 24" (610 mm) deep effective work zone, and is capable of handling loads up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg).

Titan is a self-contained, highly mobile, skid-mounted system with fast utility hookups which installs in just one day. Titan's simple-to-master control system supports 17 languages including Japanese, switches easily between imperial and metric units of measure, provides real-time data acquisition, trending and archiving, and stores up to 1000 recipes. An expert controls option, with interactive program generation feature, even provides recipe suggestions based on the customer's metallurgical needs. Additional options include; a high vacuum system, a loader system, a closed-loop water system, and all-metal hot zone, allowing customers to customize their purchase to address their Thermal Processing needs.

Titan's manufacturing versatility, operational simplicity, and financial flexibility allow both heat treaters and OEMs alike to capitalize on profitable opportunities and reduce costs in a challenging economy.
