Alcan Composites Joins PPG Certified Metal Panel Program

Published on February 17, 2010 at 7:07 PM

PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) announced that Alcan Composites USA, Benton, Ky., has joined its new PPG Certified Metal Panel Program (PPG/CMPP).

Administered by the PPG coil and extrusion coatings group, PPG/CMPP is a certification program that gives architects a direct channel to an elite group of metal panel manufacturers certified by PPG to apply high-performance Duranar, Duranar ULTRA-Cool and Coraflon fluoropolymer coatings to metal building components and/or to specify, design, fabricate and/or install aluminum components pre-painted with these coatings.

Tom Seitz, director of sales and marketing of Alcan Composites USA, said his company is proud to be one of the first companies certified in the PPG/CMPP program. "Our Alucobond composites are used for metal building panels throughout the world," he explained. "When they are specified with the added bonus of a PPG certification, architects and building owners can be even more sure our panels will deliver the color consistency and performance they expect."
