Borouge, a leading provider of innovative and value creating plastics solutions, is proud to support the development of plastics industry in China with its fourth Scholarship in the country. With this programme, Borouge will provide financial support to high-performing undergraduate students of polymer science and engineering in Yangzhou University by granting 14 selected students with scholarships on a yearly base until 2014.
Through the Borouge Scholarship Programme, Borouge encourages potential talents in the plastics industry to seek innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to the future of society. Students are selected based on their academic performance each year and among them, one to two will be given the opportunity of training at a Borouge location thereby obtaining hands-on experience in an innovative and dynamic environment.
Located at the heart of Yangzi River Delta, Yangzhou University forms a talent engine for the fast economic growth of the region. The history of the University traces back to over 100 years ago. It currently hosts 33,900 full-time undergraduate students, 7,200 postgraduate (doctorate and master) students and 16,000 students of continued education.
