Exova Won Major Contract with Swedish Defence Material Administration

Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has won a major contract with FMV, the Swedish Defence Material Administration, worth a potential £24.5 million over seven years.

The contract, to supply testing, advising and training services in materials technology and metrology to the Swedish Defence Authority, represents confirmation of Exova’s strength within these areas. Based on a three year programme with 2 + 2 year extensions, the work will also include the provision of technical services to the Swedish Armed Forces.

The work spans a wide range of materials, and will see experts from Exova Materials Technology in Sweden work as consultants to FMV in composite repair technology, polymer bonding and sealing technology, welding and brazing technology, coatings technology and fuel and lubricant technology for defence applications The contract also includes the provision of metrological and calibration services for measurement tools and instruments to FMV and Swedish Armed Forces by Exova Metech, the calibration and metrology division of Exova.
