Quartz and Silica Tubing Now Available through Goodfellow

Published on August 6, 2008 at 12:47 AM

The Technical Glass Company, part of the Goodfellow group of companies, is able to supply a wide range of quartz/fused silica tubing that offers outstanding thermal properties, superior shock resistance, excellent optical transmission ranging from ultraviolet to infrared, and good electrical and corrosion performance. As a result of these properties, quartz/fused silica tubing is widely used in engineering, optical, and research applications.

The company supplies quartz/fused silica tubing to customer specifications, in sizes ranging from 0.05mm I.D. x 0.08mm O.D. up to 300mm I.D. or larger. Shapes available include round, capillary, multihole, profiled, square, and rectangular.

Goodfellow recently acquired The Technical Glass Company, a UK-based supplier of specialist glass and ceramic materials and components for scientific and industrial applications. Sales and customer support in North America is being handled by Goodfellow Corporation of Oakdale, PA.
