UV-Visible-NIR Microspectrophotometer Manufacturer Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

CRAIC Technologies, the leading manufacturer of UV-visible-NIR microspectrophotometers and microscopes, today announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.

The announcement signals a continued improvement in product quality efforts. The company believes that ISO 9001:2008 is an important driver of quality for its efforts to develop next-generation UV-visible-NIR microanalysis instruments, which include the QDI 2010 microspectrophotometer and UVM-1 microscope.

"This is an important achievement for CRAIC Technologies" said Dr. Paul Martin, President of CRAIC Technologies. "While we've always made the quality of our products and meeting customer expectations a priority, we welcomed the opportunity that certification presented to benchmark our processes versus known industry best practice. This caused us to improve and upgrade many aspects of our business in handling all aspects of the customer. Continuously improving not only the product offering, but the entire customer experience is one key to driving lasting sustainable growth for our company. Earning the ISO 9001:2008 certification assures our customers of the commitment we have to serving them well."

ISO 9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems. ISO 9000 is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies. ISO 9001:2008 certification recognizes organizations that link business objectives with operating effectiveness. Companies that achieve certification to ISO 9001:2008 have demonstrated effective implementation of documentation and records management, top management's commitment to their customers, and a continued willingness to improve quality of their products.
