Quantachrome Appearing at Electrochemical Society Technical Exhibit

Published on April 27, 2010 at 2:55 AM

Quantachrome Instruments, a leading manufacturer and supplier of materials characterization instruments, will be exhibiting on booth 23 at the Technical Exhibit of the 217th meeting of the Electrochemical Society being held at the Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver, Canada. The meeting runs from April 25-30, but the Technical Exhibit is open just three days, April 26-28.

Quantachrome's exhibit will highlight the tabletop NOVA surface area & pore size analyzer. This fully automatic and compact gas sorption analyzer can measure the BET surface area of multiple samples in under half an hour, and multiple pore size distributions overnight. Surface area and pore size of electrode materials is of fundamental value to battery and fuel cell chemists as these properties control access of electrolyte and reactants to the electron/ion transfer interface.

Visitors are also invited to discuss their characterization requirements for fuel cell catalysts, membranes, powder processing and porous materials in general; Quantachrome not only specializes in surface area and pore size but also water vapor sorption studies, chemisorption, density and zeta potential measurements.
