Leading manufacturer of ceramic components Morgan Technical Ceramics (MTC) Certech has achieved multiple industry certifications at its manufacturing sites in Corby and Derby. The company has been awarded the Environmental (ISO 14001:2004), Quality (ISO 9001:2008), Health and Safety (ISO 18001:2007) and Integration (PAS99:2006) by British Standards in recognition of its excellent practices and values. Customers can be assured that best practice is employed throughout the company and that it is a responsible manufacturer.
"Complying with all four British Industry Standards demonstrates our commitment to achieving the highest standards in all aspects of our business including minimising our environmental impact," says Paul Green, Compliance Manager, MTC Certech. "Gaining the certifications was no easy feat. We set ourselves the challenge of achieving them in the space of just 12 months and I'm delighted that we passed first time."
The company had to review its existing quality processes to update it's existing ISO 9001:2000 certification, establish new procedures and pass rigorous five-day independent audits by environmental and health and safety specialists for the other standards.
Environmental impact is an increasingly important global issue and MTC Certech takes its responsibility seriously. Achieving the internationally recognised environmental accreditation shows that the company understands its impact and has actively set up procedures to minimise the effect of its activities on the environment. This includes measuring and disposing of waste in a responsible way.
Compliance with the Health and Safety Standard confirms the company not only fully conforms with legislation for the health and safety of its staff, but also for the health and safety of all persons on their sites, including contractors and visitors.
