Ipsen's System Control Software Now Updated for Windows 7 Compatibility

Published on April 18, 2011 at 1:24 AM

In the update to Version 4.0, AutoMag from Ipsen has been adapted for Windows 7. The system control software ensures a more efficient use of energy and resources, as well as better utilization of your plant's capacity.

The previous version, AutoMag 3.0, had already offered fully automated batch-treatment tracking and control capabilities. The update to Version 4.0 not only adapts the software for Windows 7 and future operating system developments, but also ensures more efficient use of energy and resources, as well as even better utilization of your plant's capacity. Newly integrated planning tools give you detailed control over batch treatments and guarantee that orders will be processed on schedule. The tried and tested production management software from Ipsen thus makes it easier to continually optimize production targets such as quality, energy efficiency, adherence to delivery dates, reproducibility and operational safety and reliability.

AutoMag 4.0 offers greater stability through the Microsoft .NET development environment. The software's improved scalability makes it easier to adapt to customers' needs.

AutoMag 4.0's automated batch database management results in lower service requirements and costs and faster start-up. The newly developed load planning system, still the only one of its kind available on the market, makes it possible to prioritize individual heat treatments as part of overall process planning. In addition to continuous monitoring, it facilitates the optimal allocation of workpieces to individual furnaces, thereby guaranteeing the optimal, energy-saving utilization of the plants' capacity.

The new automation software uses SQL Server 2008, a modern, secure database system that continually gathers data on all process variables and batch data - with a high level of data security (including compliance with AMS 2750 standards) guaranteed through automated back-up routines.
