A new aqueous polyamide dispersion now available from Michelman is designed for use as a fiber sizing in fiber reinforced nylon composites.
Hydrosize PA845 is solvent and VOC free with small particle size. The field tested and proven new dispersion has excellent processability and film forming properties and produces high strand integrity. It is also alkylphenol ethoxylate (APE) free and fully compliant with the EC Directives on plastics for food applications.
Hydrosize PA845 provides an alternative to Michelman's Hydrosize polyurethane fiber sizings for nylon composites, in applications where a greater degree of thermal stability is required.
