Provider of specialized polymer materials, PolyOne has opened a new Innovation Center in Avon Lake, Ohio. The new facility provides advanced capabilities to customers for application development, process optimization, testing and color matching.
The Avon Lake center required an investment of more than $3 million during the first phase development. This facility represents a major expansion of PolyOne’s customer-focused resources.
Stephen D. Newlin, Chairman, President and CEO of PolyOne, stated that the Innovation Center supports customers by connecting the gap between product concept and commercialization. In addition, it helps reduce development time and increases the profits for the customers.
The Innovation Center is a part of global network of customer-centered resources. Customers can discuss with PolyOne's scientist and engineers who have significant experience in color and additives, Geon brand vinyl and engineered materials to organize the development lifecycle and promote innovative product development.
