Techcet Group, a firm specializing in technical trend analysis and market analysis for the silicon, photovoltaic, semiconductor and related electronics industries, has released a new report, titled, “Quartz for Semiconductor Applications 2011”.

The report offers an outline of the quartz crucible and OEM parts industry that supports semiconductor manufacturing. It also includes technical trends, market analysis and key supply chain issues and in addition a new high purity sand supplier is featured.

Techcet Group’s Critical Materials report shows that the market for quartz crucibles and fabricated OEM parts for semiconductor uses has totalled $1.2billion in 2010, which is an increase of 89% than the 2009 low. The research firm forecasts that there will be an additional 15% growth in 2011 and 1.5% in 2012.

In the overall market, hot and cold fabricated quartz parts contribute to 60%.
