Air Products has inked a contract with Kunshan Yongxin Glassware (Yongxin). According to the agreement, Air Products will supply its oxy-fuel solution to Yongxin for emission reduction and productivity enhancement.
The supply of integrated oxy-fuel solution has also included an automatic control skid for burners, Cleanfire HRi oxy-fuel burners, and PRISM vacuum swing absorption (VSA) oxygen generator. Air Products had consultations for the design of the furnace, and optimization of the technique and method.
Richard Huang, Asia industry manager for Glass of Air Products stated that the company has been recognized for being the long-term supplier for Yongxin from its initial supply of oxy-boosting during 2007 to oxy-fuel combustion. This has explained on how the glass experts and new solutions can help glassmakers of China address the increasing strict environmental laws, while enhancing the quality, efficiency and productivity, he added.
The integrated oxy-fuel solution from Air Products provides benefits to the glass manufacturers like reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions for around 80%, improvement in productivity for more than 25%, less capital expenses, energy savings of 25-60%, and enhancement in glass quality and efficiency.
Air Products supplies gases to oxy-fuel technology and burners, and provides customized control systems, an integrated oxy-fuel solution, commissioning service, safety and site training, design and technical knowledge, project management and maintenance contracts. Over 1,500 Cleanfire burners have been installed by Air Products all over the world.
