A global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipes for the oil and gas industry, TMK, announced shipment of a new variety of high-strength casing to Zarubezhneft, an oil company based in Russia. The company supplies the product along with TMK PF premium connections.
The new casing with gas-tight quality connections is an addition to the TMK’s High Collapse range and the product has an ability to resist external collapse pressure. The casing is designed for applications in deep and ultra-deep horizontal wells and will also be utilized to establish offshore fields in Latin America. Sergei Bilan, Vice President for TMK’s Premium Products and Services, stated that this is the first delivery of steel pipe with TMK PF premium connections to the region and represents a major step towards expanding the sales market for its advanced products in Latin America.
TMK operates 24 production sites in Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia and the U.S, as well as two research and development centers in the U.S. and Russia. The company delivers its products with a wide range of services in pipe repairing, warehousing, premium connections threading, protective coating and heat treating. In 2011, the total steel pipe shipments made by TMK reached 4.23 million tonnes.
