The researchers have shown how SMART Freeze Dryer technology can make the process of determining process resistance during freeze drying experiments at controlled nucleation considerably easier and quicker.
In order to streamline and speed-up the difficult task of optimizing and developing freeze drying cycles, this innovative control software tool, Smart Freeze Dryer technology has been used to aid development scientists. This tool is founded on novel control algorithms designed by prominent lyophilisation experts hence improving freeze dry cycle development in a number of significant ways. Conventional cycle development is based on the intuition and experience of the scientist by using a trial and error technique. In this case, several weeks of development time are needed and a number of test cycles cause consumption of valuable and scarce active ingredients.
