Nanosurf Launch STM Designed for Nanoeducation Applications

Published on June 27, 2012 at 10:03 AM

Nanosurf have launched a new Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) designed specifically for use in nanoeducation.

The NaioSTM, Nanosurf's All-in-One STM for nanoeducation.

The NaioSTM is a compact all-in-one STM that integrates:

  • Scan head
  • Controller
  • Vibration isolation platform

It's compact size and integrated design make it ideally suited to the rigors of classrom-based experiments and demonstration.

The NaioSTM builds on the success of the well-known Easyscan 2 STM. However, with its more integrated design, it enables even greater ease of installation, use, and transportability. The whole setup is very robust against vibrations and can be used in standard classroom situations. With its integrated controller, it hardly takes up any workbench space!

Some of the features of the Nanosurf NaioSTM include:

  • Atomic resolution in minutes
  • Extremely simple handling and reliable operation
  • Controller and scan head integrated in a single device
