ENECON, a provider of advanced polymer composites technology, has launched a new product labeled FLEXICLAD ER. It is a polymer composite meant for repairing rubber and flexible materials such as hoses, conveyor belts, expansion bellows, off-road tire sidewalls, etc. It is composed of two components and is made up of 100% solids.
The trowel-able polymer composite is unique because it does need any primer and can easily bond with most flexible and rubber materials.
FLEXICLAD ER does not require heating as it can be cured at ambient temperatures. It is deemed safe to use. The simplicity of operation eliminates the necessity for special tools. The polymer composite can be used for establishing durable bonds for wood, metal, etc. It can be employed to create flexible, uneven gaskets on flange surfaces that are distorted. It can be utilized in the cooling of tower pans and to fasten water boxes for heat exchange to the face of tube sheets.
FLEXICLAD ER can also be used in condensate pans to close the joints. Its numerous applications and its ability to augment the operating life of old equipment and devices make the product a vital addition to the tool box of maintenance engineers.
