Simrit, a division of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies and a provider of precision-manufactured products for the appliance, agriculture, aerospace and other markets, announced that its facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada has earned the Superior Performance Award from 3M for its excellent performance in the year 2011.
The award has been offered in recognition of the company’s commitment to quality and service excellence.
The Tillsonburg plant has ISO9001 certification and it designs and produces low pressure seals for a number of markets, including electrical, energy, appliance and aerospace. The plant also has the AS9100 Revision C quality management system certification and is Nadcap approved. Recently, the facility received United Technologies’ Supplier Gold status for its excellent performance in customer support, lean practices, quality and delivery.
The Superior Performance Award honors 3M suppliers, who exceed the traditional standards for performance and quality. For over five years, Simrit's scores have surpassed 95% and, since 2010, they have exceeded 98%. David R. Monaco, President of Simrit Americas and SVP of Simrit Global, remarked that the award is a great testament to their Tillsonburg employees and their dedication to meet the clients’ needs via constant process and quality improvements.
