SGS Proves XTIO2 Active-Shield Fabric Coating as 100% Antigerm

Based on the standardized AATCC100 test, SGS, an inspection, verification, testing and certification firm, demonstrated that the XTIO2 Active-Shield Fabric has achieved the world’s highest 100% antibacterial efficacy rate. Cleancoating, a Philadelphia-based company, had commissioned the tests.

XTIO2 is the only organization in the world, whose nanocoating technology has achieved 100% effective antigerm power results on coated materials against unsafe MRSA (S.aureus) and E.coli bacteria.

XTIO2 Fabric coating includes 99% ultra-pure water and 1% TiO2 nanoparticles. In addition to being 100% antigerm, the coating is 100% green, sustainable, safe, non-toxic and self-cleaning with excellent superior anti-odor functions. XTIO2 Fabric can be applied to different types of garments and fabrics, including scrubs or medical gowns, underwear, facemasks, carpets, curtains, linens, uniforms and sportswear. The coating can be refreshed in visible light indoors or direct sunlight, thus reducing the need for washing and in turn saving time and money. All these features add extra value for fashion, sports, schools, public transportation, military, cruise ships, hotels, senior centers/retirement homes, and hospitals.

When the TiO2 nanoparticles in the coating are highly charged by UV light, they release negative ions in the atmosphere. This destroys germs, decomposes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), reduces dust and purifies air from allergens.

The International Self-Powered Building Council (ISPBC) has certified XTIO2 Active-Shield as a GREEN Building Technology and also as the best preventive measure that protects consumers’ health by reducing the spread of air and contact-transmitted germs like superbugs (NDM-1), EV-71, H2N5, H5N1, H1N1, and cold viruses.
