Maney Publishing Announces the Opening of North American Office

Published on August 8, 2012 at 6:42 AM

Maney Publishing is delighted to announce the establishment of its new North American office based in the heart of Philadelphia, at 2 Penn Center Plaza.

This is an exciting time for Maney Publishing, which furthers the growth in our North American publishing programme. Building on the success of our current Executive Publishers, the new office will enhance existing relationships and bring new opportunities to widen Maney's reach in Canada and the USA. The new office in Philadelphia will offer support to the growing number of North American customers and provide a base for much-increased sales and marketing activities across the entire Maney Publishing list.

The first new team members joining Maney to launch this new office are:

  • Jaclyn Scarborough, Marketing & Customer Support Manager, will work alongside the Company's UK sales and marketing team. Jaclyn is an experienced journals marketer who has spent the last few years working for an established academic publisher.
  • Allan Barnett, Journal Sales Manager, will combine with the sales teams in the rest of the world to support and build the American customer base. Allan brings a wealth of sales experience to Maney, having worked for a major scientific publisher for the last 15 years.

The founding of this office plays a vital role in Maney's expansion and growth plan in a key market and offers a wealth of marketing and sales experience, combined with in-depth industry knowledge of publishing and the academic and library communities.

Michael Gallico, CEO of Maney Publishing, comments "We have had a presence in the USA for many years at our Cambridge office, but firmly establishing ourselves in North America now will broaden Maney's presence and demonstrate commitment to the Company's philosophy of delivering research, knowledge and innovation worldwide. At the same time we can work more closely with our North American customers, society partners, editors and authors."
