Multi-Ceramic Technology (MCT), the Technical Ceramics Division of the Multi-Lab Group, celebrates its 3rd year!

On the 1st of August 2012, Multi-Ceramic Technology (MCT ), the technical ceramics division of the Multi-Lab Group of companies, celebrated its third year in business.


Multi-Ceramic Technology, was formed by Multi-Lab Ltd in August 2009, to satisfy an ever increasing worldwide demand for technical & industrial ceramics, as part of Multi-Labs on-going expansion program.

Mr Jules Blain with 35 years' experience, in the development of materials, manufacturing and product design, was appointed as the group Technical Ceramic Manager, working closely with Mr Ron Jackman Group sales director & Mr Paul Jackman Group production Director have built MCT  in these 3 very short years, into what it is today, a Global force in the word of Technical / Industrial ceramics, Overseen by our esteemed MD / Chairman Mr R B Jackman, who is still at the helm and playing a very active part in the groups continued global success.

Since its foundation in 1984 by Mr Ron Jackman Snr and Mrs Audrey Jackman, and their sons Ron Jackman and Paul Jackman who joined the business in 1988; Multi-lab has become a global supplier and fabricator of quartz glass and high purity ceramics for applications which span across most industrial applications.

It has continued to develop in distribution and fabrication technology, demonstrating its ability to maintain leadership by adapting constantly to the ever-changing needs of customers. Multi-lab's facility in East Kilbride, Scotland was owned and operated by Heraeus Quartz for over 20 years prior to Multi-lab Ltd buying the facility late 2007.

Multi-lab operate from two modern, state of the art, quartz and ceramic fabrication facilities with a very highly skilled workforce. Investments in capital equipment and factory ergonomics in both facilities have allowed Multi-Lab to expand their manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio.

Then came Multi-Ceramic Technology  (MCT) as it is affectionately known, in August 2009. Since then, MCT has grown steadily alongside the rest of the group and introduced many new product lines and materials and is particularly noted for:

MCT has also been at the forefront of the development of Tantalum Oxide precious metal production and continues its research in this field.

Multi-Lab retain a wealth of experience in manufacturing products for most OEM`s within the Microelectronics, Solar, UV, Aerospace and medical sector.

Multi-Lab always welcomes the opportunity to review new product designs or ideas from R&D up to full production and will work with their customers to help them take these concepts to market.

All of this led to an NMI Supplier of the year award in 2011 and a Supplier excellence award from Analog devices. The group also recently through significant investment, increased its diamond grinding capabilities to cope with increasing customer demands.

The board of Multi-Lab Ltd remain confidant and convinced that their pro-active strategy with regard to the world recession has helped them to the very top of British Manufacturing on a truly global scale, and to  continue growth year on tear when many have faded from sight.
