At booth 458, Clariant is displaying a wide array of solutions for safeguarding cargo – including breakbulk cargo – against damaging moisture and humidity encountered during varying conditions throughout the shipping process.
A key feature of the Clariant display is the Container Dri® II line of desiccant bags, strips, poles and packs for controlling the humidity surrounding cargo, whether containerized or non-containerized. Container Dri II desiccants absorb up to three times their weight in moisture from the container environment, effectively protecting everything from bulk foodstuffs to heavy equipment. The solution offers a unique, patented formulation that absorbs and traps this moisture in a no-spill gel. As a result, the dew point is lowered avoiding “container rain,” the build up of water that can cause mold, rust and other costly damage. The company’s other solutions for cargo protection include Desi Pak® bentonite desiccant bags, as well as Humitector® humidity indicator cards and plugs designed to meet rigorous military and industry standards.
At the booth, the company is also providing information on an upcoming educational webinar focused on strategies for avoiding moisture damage and waste during transport, which will be held Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. CET.
