Dynavac Announces Opening of New Applications Lab

Dynavac, a market leader in thin film deposition systems, is pleased to announce the commissioning of its new process application lab.  The lab represents a substantial commitment to product development and introduces a new level of support to its customers.

The dedicated 1,700 square foot laboratory features a new Dynavac 36-inch thin film deposition system, a multi-chamber inline deposition tool that can be configured for a wide variety of processes, and several general purpose chambers that can be configured for custom applications.  In addition, the lab is equipped with a wide range of metrology and analytical tools including a spectrophotometer and profilometer.

Gary Ash, Ph.D. and Joshua Gurian, Ph.D. serve as the Applications Lab staff scientists. The lab is also supported by a dedicated coating technician and is fully supported by Dynavac’s engineering and manufacturing staff.

“Many of our customers come to us with unique applications,” says Tom Foley, President and CEO. “Having the ability to characterize a process before committing to a final system design provides a tremendous benefit by reducing risk and providing an optimal system configuration.”

The commissioning of the Applications Lab marks the beginning of a new era for Dynavac and greatly enhances the company’s ability to add value for its customers.  The combination of a highly skilled staff and a wide variety of modern process tools greatly enhances the company’s capabilities and enables Dynavac to expand the products and services that it offers.
