Fluid Imaging Technologies' FlowCAM Equipment Used in Algae Technology Research

Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the FlowCAM Student Equipment & Travel Grant for Algae Technology Research.

The grant is open to graduate students and senior undergraduates enrolled at a North American college or university who are studying advanced uses of algae for biofuels, plastics, nutraceuticals or other commercial applications.

Students whose research involves the study of marine or freshwater microbial systems are encouraged to apply for the use of a FlowCAM to support their research.

Benchtop FlowCAM.

Winner of the competitive award will receive the following:

  • Use of a FlowCAM VS-IV for a period of up to 4 months

  • Training and on-going support throughout the project

  • Complete travel support to the 2014 ABO Algae Biomass Summit (ABS) (or other appropriate North American conference within 12 months of completion of project)

  • Proposal submissions due by 12/31/13

  • Announcement of award 1/15/14

  • Deadline for paper submission to ABS 6/1/14

  • If accepted, the candidate will deliver an oral presentation at ABS 2014 (or other industry conference)
