When San Diego-based DSC Products developed an American-made, tough product for a major retail partner, it turned to the equally tough Eastman Tritan™ copolyester. DSC Products’ high-quality, reasonably priced American Tumbler™ drinkware line is made entirely with Tritan, a new-generation copolyester from Eastman Chemical Company. Tritan offers superior clarity, dishwasher durability and is free of bisphenol A (BPA). DSC Products this month began selling its tumbler line exclusively in Walmart stores throughout the country.
American Tumbler
The tumblers, available in 10 different styles, are a stylish way for adults to enjoy hot or cold beverages. The double-walled insulation helps keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. First choice
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is increasing the number of American-made products it sells, and American Tumbler — made entirely in the United States — is a good fit. DSC Products, manufacturer of American Tumbler, has used Eastman Tritan™ copolyester in some of its other products. Having worked with the material before, Tritan was the firm’s first and only choice for the new American Tumbler line.
“Our goal was to select a material that would provide Wal-Mart with a high-quality, American-made tumbler, and we knew Eastman Tritan™ copolyester would exceed our requirements,” said Dan Sachs, owner and president of DSC Products. “There was never any alternative.”
Unmatched support, endless possibilities
DSC Products appreciates the technical support Eastman has provided in the past and more recently with the development of the American Tumbler line. In addition, the company has been pleased with the finished product.
“When you touch the drinkware and feel the weight of it, you quickly realize its quality without having any previous experience with Eastman Tritan™ copolyester,” said Sachs. “I have yet to find another supplier that can compete with Eastman and Tritan.”
The clarity of Eastman Tritan™ copolyester opens the door to virtually unlimited design options. Additional American Tumbler designs include embroidered logos between the walls or clear film inserts that can feature nearly any design.
