LECO has added a new product to their Metallography consumable lineup, designed to make sample mounting more efficient and precise.
LECOSET 7008 was designed specifically to reduce shrinking and when cured in a pressure vessel it gives you nearly transparent results. The cure time for LECOSET 7008 in air is 10 to 12 minutes; in a pressure vessel this time is 10 minutes.
Edge retention in air cure is fair, while in a pressure vessel it is good. LECOSET 7008 is meant to act as a improved replacement to the LECOSET 7007* with a "less yellow" mount to provide higher quality results.
