Thermo Fisher Scientific Acquires X-Ray Diffraction Provider INEL to Expand Capabilities in Materials Science and Structural Characterization

Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today announced [that it has acquired] INEL Inc., a provider of real-time X-ray diffraction (XRD) systems based in Artenay, France.

The business will be integrated into Thermo Fisher’s Analytical Instruments segment.

INEL offers a range of XRD instruments, from simple benchtop instruments for routine applications to sophisticated platforms for analysis of nano-materials, pharmaceuticals, coatings and other advanced materials. These technologies complement our existing portfolio and provide our customers with a broad offering for a range of materials science applications – from industrial to research.
