TA Instruments Introduces the ElectroForce 3310 Test Instrument

TA Instruments is pleased to introduce a new edition to the ElectroForce load frame product portfolio.  The ElectroForce 3310 is a 1,000 N test instrument that offers unparalleled dynamic performance and versatility.

At the heart of every ElectroForce test instrument is a patented, friction-free electromagnetic actuator that results in a durable test instrument that can perform tests for billions and billions of cycles and includes the industry’s only 10 year motor warranty The 3310 is suitable for testing a range of materials or components, including elastomers, composites, biomaterials, and medical devices.

ElectroForce technology has consistently set the standard for leveraging electromagnetics in materials testing.  With the ElectroForce 3310, we again deliver unmatched ability to test over a wide range of forces and a wide range of frequencies. I’m excited that this versatility can now enable even better results for tests that previously landed between our smaller and larger test systems.

Troy Nickel, Product Manager for TA’s ElectroForce products

Enhancing the 3310’s performance envelope is the ability to add a torsion actuator, which allows the user to perform simultaneous axial-torsion tests.  Alternatively, an extended stroke (ES) actuator, which increases the static testing capabilities of the test instrument by 150 mm, can be added for additional testing flexibility.

TA Instruments – a subsidiary of Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT) – is the leading manufacturer of analytical instruments for thermal analysis, rheology, and microcalorimetry. The company is headquartered in New Castle, Delaware, USA, and has direct operations in 24 countries.
