Ateva® ExtruBond™ Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) to be Launched at 2016 Flex Pack Con

Celanese Corporation, an international technology and specialty materials company, will launch its Ateva® ExtruBond™ ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) at the 2016 Flex Pack Con October 9-12 in Memphis, Tenn. This will help meet the increasing demand for more advanced, stronger extrusion coating materials ideal for food packaging and various other applications.

Celanese produced this material by integrating regulatory knowledge, deep technical expertise and unique polymer properties in order to develop a polymer that is safe to preserve and package food, tubing or film. This newly developed polymer technology proves in extensive customer testing to boost line speeds and greatly enhance adhesion during the extrusion coating process to obtain a more reliable, stronger bond.

Manufacturers can use a wide range of grades of this new packaging and thermal lamination polymer to package food, for gift cards and document lamination, and for packaging lids. Various application uses will be highlighted at an expert presentation at the 2016 Flex Pack Con.

Expert Presentation:

Topic: Improved Strength and Adhesion: New EVA Material Developments for Thermal Lamination and Flexible Packaging Applications
Date: Monday, October 10, 2016
Time: 9:30-10:00 a.m. local time
