Role of AZoM Associates
AZoM is fortunate to have an expanding team of associated organisations who have complementary skills in the field of materials science, fabrication and application. Short summaries of the activities of our current associates are detailed below.
AZoM Associates have assisted in the formation of AZoM in several areas. These have included providing content for the AZoM on line materials encyclopaedia, providing news feeds, equity funding and strategic advice on how to enhance the products and services offered by AZoM.

The
Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3)

The
Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3) was officially recognised by the UK's Privy Council on 26 June 2002.
The new Institute, created from the merger of The Institute of
Materials (IoM) and The Institution of Mining and Metallurgy (IMM),
intends to develop to be the leading international professional
body for the advancement of materials, minerals and mining to governments,
industry, academia, the public and the professions.
CERAM
Research

CERAM is an international organization with over 50 years of experience
working for clients who are involved in ceramics and materials processing,
the manufacture of ceramic components, or the use of ceramic products. Additionally CERAM works with clients involved in metals, composites,
construction and the environment.
RAPRA
Technology

Rapra Technology is Europe's leading independent plastics and rubberconsultancy. Rapra
provides comprehensive consultancy, technology and information services
for the polymer industry and industries using plasticsand rubber in
any component, product or production process.
IMEA
- The Institute of Materials Engineering Australasia

IMEA - The
Materials Society is a technical society that has as its principal
function the advancement of all aspects of the technology of engineering
materials, both metallic and non-metallic, including ceramics, polymers,
composites, etc.
The
Australasian Ceramic Society

The
Australasian Ceramic Society was formed in the early 1960’s and
is an organisation that works towards furthering all aspects of ceramics
including science, industry, research, trade and art. The ACS aims
to bring together all those interested and involved in ceramics for
mutual co-operation and the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
EPMA
- European Powder Metallurgy Association

EPMA has one of the worlds most significant PM related Web sites,
this along with the distribution of well over 15,000 copies of a
popular free booklet "Introduction to PM", videos, lecture
series and posters are one of the many ways that the EPMA promotes
Powder Metallurgy technology. Combine this with the EPMA's 'End-user'
seminars, Exhibitions, Editorial Features, and PM Showcases, and
it is clear that the EPMA is at the forefront of PM technology promotion.

The Titanium Information Group, is an association of suppliers,
design engineers and fabricators of titanium formed with the intention
of promoting the use of titanium.

International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP)

The International
Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) is an international
not-for-profit trade association with 50
corporate members domiciled in 20 countries who produce 95 percent
of the world supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and
headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute also supports offices
in London and Tokyo.
