Small Bore Flow Meters and Flow Meter Solutions

Titan Enterprises designs, manufactures and tests all of its flow meters in-house. The company can produce custom flow meters in materials acceptable to the application environment requirements of a customer. The manufacturing system employed at Titan Enterprises has full traceability for all key parts.

Titan Enterprises produces flow meters in compliance with CE, hazardous material and ROHS regulations. Materials and components supplied by external companies meet the stringent standards set by Titan Enterprises.

Titan Enterprises carries out calibration of its flow meters in-house on its bespoke calibration rigs and with a very low uncertainty. When produced, the flow rigs were accredited to an overall uncertainty of ±0.05%. Calibration is not just a one-point calibration check but is over the entire flow range.

Atrato Low Flow Ultrasonic Flow Meters

The Atrato inline ultrasonic flow meters (Figure 1) achieve unprecedented accuracy over a broad flow ranges using unique patented technology. With a rugged and clean bore construction, the Atrato is suitable for an extensive range of low flow applications.

Titan Enterprises manufactures a comprehensive range of Atrato products, including both standard and bespoke configurations. Viscosity effects have no impact on all of these electronic meters, thus delivering unprecedented performance and accuracy across a broad dynamic range.

Titan’s Atrato® is an in-line product with a straight through bore varying from 1mm (operating from 2ml/min) up to 6mm for the 20L/min model. The wetted components are all chosen to provide long-term meter stability and high chemical resistance. The ratio between the minimum and maximum flow in each meter is 200:1 with a linearity of ±1.0% over the whole range.

With Atrato products, users can change all of the input and output parameters to meet the requirements of their applications. These flow meters can be operated as standalone units or in conjunction with a computer. They can also be operated on USB power alone but with some output limitations.

Oval Gear Flow Meters

Titan Enterprises manufactures its own range of oval gear flow meters to handle both viscous and non-viscous products. Titan’s Oval Gear (OG) flow meter range is widely used by various industrial and process customers globally. The company has expanded its OG flow meter range and many OEM configurations have incorporated flow meters for use at elevated temperatures (200°C) or high pressure (950Bar).

OG flow meters (Figure 2) are compact, rugged and deliver unprecedented performance at a lower cost of ownership. They are suitable to measure water like products and lubricating fluids. Different versions of OG flow meters are offered by Titan Enterprises.

Some versions have completely non-metallic wetted components, ceramic, PEEK™, and a choice of elastomer, making them suitable for measuring aggressive chemicals. The standard inlet and outlet are BSP or NPT. Some versions come with flanges and female threads.

Alternative mountings such as manifolds are also available for OEM applications. Aluminum, 316 St St, PEEK™, and Hastelloy C are the standard models. Some flow meters used in hazardous locations may feature the reed switch (simple apparatus) or the Namur sensor.

Turbine Flow Meters

Titan Enterprises offers a very flexible range of turbine flow meters with broad options of permutations, thus delivering optimized turbine meter to meet the specific customer requirements. Two detector types, nine flow ranges, four ‘O’ ring materials, three termination options, four end fitting material options, and 6 styles of end fittings are available. It is also possible to accommodate OEM configurations.

FT2 Range Turbine Flow Meters

FT2 range of turbine flow meters (Figure 3) is a multi-range radial flow turbine meter featuring a low inertia turbine that is mounted on sturdy sapphire bearings in a chemically resistant housing. It is the most flexible turbine flow meter available on the market, thanks to nine flow ranges (0.02 to 160L/min), individual traceable calibration, and a choice of “plug in” fittings.

It is possible to customize the fittings for OEM applications in order to facilitate the installation and ramp up production. Custom leads or connectors are also supplied for quantity orders. Optical and Hall effect are the two sensor types available, of which Hall effect type is designed for high reliability and opaque fluids and Optical type is designed for greatest flow range and accuracy.

The 900 and 1000 Series Flow meters

With seven flow ranges from 0.05 to 30L/min, the 900 and 1000 series flow meters (Figure 4) deliver superior performance at an affordable cost. The wide option of body materials makes these flow meters the instrument of choice for measuring aggressive chemicals, including ultra-pure water.

The standard inlets are ¼” and ½“ BSPF and alternatives are available for OEM applications. The sapphire-made bearings have long life and reliability. The body is either PVDF or 316 stainless steel as standard, and the ‘O’ ring seal is typically Viton™. The availability of dual pulse outputs provides give both PNP and NPN pulses for better interface flexibility.

Low Cost Turbine Flow Meters

Titan Enterprises manufactures its low cost turbine flow meters from high quality, chemically resistant polymers, providing an economical solution for a myriad of applications. The company supplies the most widely used low cost turbine flow meter configurations as standard models. It provides consultancy services for larger volume requirements, offering bespoke flow meters with differing flow ranges, length, cable type, labeling, and connectivity to meet the specific customer requirements.

The 800 Series Flow Meter

The 800 series flow meter (Figure 5) is a well-known OEM and end user product. The low cost turbine flow meter provides superior performance at a lower cost of ownership, thanks to its inherent reliability. The non-metallic construction makes it suitable for measuring aggressive chemicals, including ultra-pure water.

The standard inlet tubes are barbed to accept 8mm and 12mm sizes of hoses and alternatives are available for OEM applications. The sapphire-made bearings ensure long life and reliability. For better chemical compatibility, the magnets in the turbine are molded in. Two more models have the dual pulse output or a built-in rate and total meter. Alternative cable types and lengths are available for OEM applications. Custom flow ranges and a battery powered option are also available.
