Dynamic Temperature Control Systems

JULABO’s PRESTO system represents a whole generation of highly dynamic temperature control systems. Designed for precise temperature control and rapid temperature changes, the PRESTO systems are ideal for temperature simulations, reactor vessels, or material stress tests.

JULABO’s PRESTO system represents the state-of-the-art for contemporary laboratories. A working temperature range of -92 °C to +250 °C is covered by these instruments with high cooling and heating capacity. Maximum heating capacity can also be modified according to fluctuations in the mains power supply. Highly efficient components give these instruments the ability to offset exothermic and endothermic reactions with exceptional speed. The PRESTO units are very strong and work dependably even if the ambient temperature is as high as +40 °C. An internal, cooled expansion vessel and the integrated cooling machine absorb volume changes in the heat exchanger.

PRESTO Systems are Ideal for Reactor Tempering

It is possible to connect the PRESTO systems to different reactors using the available JULABO tubing; for instance the PRESTO A80. With a heating capacity of 1.8 kW, the PRESTO A80 can heat up a 20 liter reactor from 0 °C to +50 °C in less than 90 minutes without any overshoot.

PRESTO is Able to Cover Different Applications

Whether users’ application is low temperatures or the rapid control and compensation of endothermic and exothermic reactions, PRESTO can do it. The PRESTO A40 has a cooling capacity of 1.2 kW (at +20 °C) and can cool down a 20 l reactor from 0 °C to -20 °C within 1 hour and 15 minutes.


Low Temperatures – No Problem for PRESTO

What is the lowest temperature that can be achieved? Julabo’s PRESTO devices and reactors from different suppliers are used to find this out. For instance, the PRESTO A45 can attain the lowest temperature of -36 °C even in a large 30 l reactor.
