The entire line of heavy-duty ML-2930 and ML-3416 models offered by Hunter Spring is fitted with an internal retraction brake which decelerates the retraction speed of the cable to between 2 and 7 feet/second.

Heavy-Duty Reels

The heavy-duty reels from Hunter Spring comprise the company’s SPIR’ATOR prestressed power spring and are provided in 50, 75, and 100 feet lengths. The cable can be held at any preferred length by the company’s patented latch mechanism.

These heavy-duty reels can function in the temperature ranges of −65 °F to 125 °F (−54 °C to 52 °C).


Hunter Spring’s ROTA-REELs are compact, lightweight grounding reels. They are provided in 20, 50, 75, and 100 feet lengths. The company’s 800 series reels are the only completely enclosed reels available in the market that are capable of reaching 75 and 100 feet.
